 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Girlfriend Arrested After Boyfriend’s Body Found Buried in Shallow Grave


Police in Tzaneen have made a significant breakthrough in a shocking murder case at Morutji Village, Bolobedu South, with the arrest of a 31-year-old woman believed to be behind the killing of her boyfriend.


The victim, identified as Isaiah Thomas Maphalle (42), was reported to have been killed and later buried in a shallow grave behind his home. Police were alerted after community members raised concerns, leading to the discovery of the body. It is alleged that the victim’s remains were found wrapped in a maize meal bag.


A swift investigation led officers to the deceased’s girlfriend, who was arrested on Thursday, 04 December 2025.


The motive behind the killing is not yet known and remains the subject of ongoing police investigations.


The suspect is expected to appear before the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 08 December 2025, facing a charge of murder.
