 South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund. The company later went public, and police suspect a separate arrangement may have resulted in Bang receiving a substantial payout tied to post-IPO stock profits.  Girlfriend Arrested After Boyfriend’s Body Found Buried in Shallow Grave


Police in Tzaneen have made a significant breakthrough in a shocking murder case at Morutji Village, Bolobedu South, with the arrest of a 31-year-old woman believed to be behind the killing of her boyfriend.


The victim, identified as Isaiah Thomas Maphalle (42), was reported to have been killed and later buried in a shallow grave behind his home. Police were alerted after community members raised concerns, leading to the discovery of the body. It is alleged that the victim’s remains were found wrapped in a maize meal bag.


A swift investigation led officers to the deceased’s girlfriend, who was arrested on Thursday, 04 December 2025.


The motive behind the killing is not yet known and remains the subject of ongoing police investigations.


The suspect is expected to appear before the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 08 December 2025, facing a charge of murder.
