 El-Rufai’s Eye Condition Worsening In ICPC Custody, Aide Alleges The media aide to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Muyiwa Adekeye, has expressed concern over what he described as the worsening eye condition of his principal while in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Adekeye also accused the anti-corruption agency of failing to provide El-Rufai with adequate medical care despite repeated complaints about his health. In a statement issued on Friday, Adekeye said the former governor had reported symptoms including swollen, red, and itchy eyes while in detention and had requested medical attention. According to him, family members who visited El-Rufai noticed the condition and alerted ICPC officials, urging them to allow him access to medical treatment. Content creator/influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM) has disclosed that he personally initiated the chain of events that led to the arrest of activist Harrison Gwamnishu in Benin. According to VDM, he received calls immediately after the Auchi couple kidnapped incident and made further inquiries, which  confirmed that Gwamnishu had taken money meant for the ransom of those couple.


VDM stated that based on the information he obtained, he contacted the police, resulting in Gwamnishu’s arrest. He added that the activist is currently in police custody and has already returned the money in question.


Expressing strong disappointment, VDM explained that he initially considered overlooking the issue but changed his mind after seeing a video released by Gwamnishu, which he described as an attempt to “gaslight the public” and “manipulate everyone emotionally.”


He warned that once Gwamnishu is released, he expects him to publicly state the truth about what transpired in Auchi. If he fails to do so, VDM said he would personally reveal the full details.
