 I have accepted the electoral outcome. However, congratulating Soludo is a moral choice- John Nwosu( ADC Governorship candidate for Anambra Election)

Mr. John Chuma Nwosu, a technocrat and IT specialist, was the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the recent Anambra State election.

In a conversation with The Sun correspondent, he reflected on the current state of national politics, the detention of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), and other related matters, as well as the insights he gained from his experience in the Anambra election.

When asked about the timing of his congratulations to Governor Soludo, he was prompted to share his position regarding the recognition of the election outcome.He said;

 "I've accepted the electoral outcome for the sake of respect for peace and due process. However, congratulating him is a moral choice, not a compulsory ritual. I'll not offer congratulations in a way that endorses or sanitises vote buying and other corrupt practices. Winning through corrupt processes is not something to celebrate—just as society does not celebrate wealth acquired through yahoo yahoo."

He clarified that acknowledging an election result does not equate to endorsing the processes that produced it. He emphasized his commitment to transparent politics, credible elections, and respect for the voter’s choice. According to him, genuine congratulations will only follow when the electoral system clearly reflects the uncoerced will of the people.

In the meantime, he sees his role as speaking honestly, defending democratic principles, and advocating for improvements in the system. He expressed goodwill toward the governor and his deputy, praying for divine guidance and protection as they serve the people of Anambra State
