Ananbra-born Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has spoken out strongly against women who deliberately involve themselves with married men, warning that such relationships often end in regret, pain, and emotional damage.
In a message posted on her official Instagram page, the actress condemned extramarital affairs that break homes and distract married men from their responsibilities to their wives and children. She stated that trying to claim a married man’s full attention or interfere in his family affairs is wrong and harmful.
Edochie cautioned that women who knowingly keep married men away from their families should not be surprised when the situation turns against them, noting that the pain inflicted on innocent wives and children often comes back in unexpected ways.

She further addressed secret behaviours such as late-night calls, hidden meetings, and the common “just friends” excuse, explaining that although these actions may be kept quiet for a while, they usually end in exposure and public embarrassment. According to her, society may appear silent, but it is always aware.
Rounding off her message, the veteran actress urged women to make wiser choices in relationships, stressing that some men are already taken and that no affair is worth destroying a family or causing lasting harm.
