Kandi Burruss Uses RHOA Footage to Challenge Todd Tucker’s Prenup Claims in Divorce
According to Us Weekly, Kandi Burruss is turning to RHOA wedding footage as evidence in her divorce battle with estranged husband Todd Tucker — specifically to dispute his claims about their 2014 prenuptial agreement.
Burruss filed an amended divorce petition on December 1, pushing back on Tucker’s allegation that he was asked to sign the prenup without his lawyer present. In the filing, her team said Tucker did have a high-powered attorney before the marriage and argued the agreement is enforceable.
Her lawyer also pointed out that the entire process of negotiating the prenup was filmed for their five-part RHOA spinoff, “Kandi’s Wedding,” which aired in June 2014. The footage reportedly shows Tucker telling Burruss he was “good to sign” after speaking with his lawyer both on and off camera.
Us Weekly previously reported that Tucker claimed he received the prenup before their April 2014 wedding but said the final version was handed to him immediately before the ceremony without his legal team present. Tucker is asking for sole primary custody and even alimony if the prenup is thrown out. He also alleged that Burruss’ work will keep her away from the children for months at a time.
Burruss originally requested joint custody when she filed for divorce on November 21, but in her amended petition she now asks for primary custody of their two kids, Ace (born 2016) and Blaze (born 2019). She noted that she has consistently paid for their nanny during work travel and that both she and Tucker have had demanding schedules requiring time away from home.
Her filing also highlights that their children have a strong, nearby support system — including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins within a 5–20 mile radius.
Burruss listed their marriage date as April 2014 and their separation date as July 15, 2025.
