 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

 Khloé Kardashian surprised her family with the perfect Christmas gift this year-a adorable black Labrador puppy named Peppermint!. 

The reality star shared heartwarming photos on Instagram Stories on December 25, showing the tiny pup wearing a festive red bow and a name tag. Khloé gushed, "I am going to cry... she's the best in the world" and called Peppermint "the sweetest soul ever."


This special addition comes after her children, True (7) and Tatum (3), wrote an adorable letter to Santa earlier in December, politely asking for a "real" black Labrador puppy. Their wish came true, making it a magical holiday for the family.Fans are loving the joyful update, with many celebrating the sweet new family member joining Khloé's home alongside their existing pets.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
