Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing.  Kidnappers Hijack Late Venerable Achi’s Facebook To Taunt Public, Post Photos Of His Captive Family


Tension is mounting online after suspected kidnappers reportedly took control of the Facebook account of the late Venerable Edwin Achi and posted photos of his wife and daughter, who remain in their captors’ custody.


The Anglican priest and his family were abducted from their Kaduna State home on October 28. Despite the payment of ransom, the priest was tragically killed, and his decomposed body was later recovered.


In a disturbing development, new photos of his wife and daughter surfaced on his Facebook page, allegedly uploaded by the abductors still holding them hostage.


The incident has sparked widespread concern across Nigeria, with calls for urgent intervention from security agencies. As of now, no official updates have been provided on rescue efforts.


Social media users expressed shock and outrage. One commentator wrote, “This is extremely heartbreaking. God please keep the wife and daughter safe.” 


Another added, “These kidnappers don’t fear anything anymore. Using his own Facebook account? This is pure wickedness.”
