 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Kidnappers Hijack Late Venerable Achi’s Facebook To Taunt Public, Post Photos Of His Captive Family


Tension is mounting online after suspected kidnappers reportedly took control of the Facebook account of the late Venerable Edwin Achi and posted photos of his wife and daughter, who remain in their captors’ custody.


The Anglican priest and his family were abducted from their Kaduna State home on October 28. Despite the payment of ransom, the priest was tragically killed, and his decomposed body was later recovered.


In a disturbing development, new photos of his wife and daughter surfaced on his Facebook page, allegedly uploaded by the abductors still holding them hostage.


The incident has sparked widespread concern across Nigeria, with calls for urgent intervention from security agencies. As of now, no official updates have been provided on rescue efforts.


Social media users expressed shock and outrage. One commentator wrote, “This is extremely heartbreaking. God please keep the wife and daughter safe.” 


Another added, “These kidnappers don’t fear anything anymore. Using his own Facebook account? This is pure wickedness.”
