 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Kogi state Governor Congratulates Governor Hope Uzodinma on His 67th Birthday


The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma as he marks his 67th birthday today.


In a statement personally signed by the Governor, he lauded Governor Uzodinma’s extraordinary leadership, particularly highlighting his impactful tenure as Governor of Imo State. 

Governor Ododo praised the impressive strides made by Imo State in areas such as infrastructure development, security, and economic empowerment under the visionary leadership of Governor Uzodinma.


The Kogi State Governor noted that his Imo State counterpart’s courage, foresight, and relentless drive have set him apart as a leader of exceptional repute. 

He commended Governor Uzodinma’s ability to bring meaningful transformation to his state, ensuring that the welfare of the people remained a top priority.


Furthermore, Governor Ododo lauded Governor Uzodinma’s exemplary role as the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, stating that his leadership had been instrumental in fostering unity and cooperation among the governors. 

Under his guidance, the Progressive Frontiers, a key initiative, has expanded to bring renewed hope and opportunities to millions of Nigerians, while advancing the cause of national development.


The Kogi State Governor also expressed his admiration for Governor Uzodinma’s unwavering support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vital role as an Ambassador of the Renewed Hope Agenda. 

Governor Ododo emphasized that the commitment of Governor Uzodinma to the success of the President’s vision and his dedication to the prosperity of Nigeria continues to serve as an inspiration to fellow leaders across the nation.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
