 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Murder Incident Under Investigation at Sibasa Taxi Rank


 A murder incident is being investigated at Sibasa, near the taxi rank, which occurred around 02:00 on Sunday, 28 December 2025.


 The body of an unknown African male, estimated to be about 40 years old, was found lying next to the road.


 The victim had stab wounds on the upper body, allegedly inflicted with a sharp object. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended the scene and certified the victim dead.


 Police have opened a murder case for further investigation. The deceased was dark in complexion, wearing a red top, blue jeans, and black boots.


 The identity of the deceased is unknown, and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Sergeant Nekhavhambe Rembuluwani at 071 511 1213.
