 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Nancy Isime Commissions Playground for Ikorodu Pupils to Mark Her 34th Birthday

 


Nollywood actress Nancy Isime marked her 34th birthday by commissioning a new playground for the pupils of Methodist Primary School, Ikorodu. 


As part of the celebration, she hosted an end-of-year party for the students and staff, highlighting her passion for children’s development, outdoor play, and creativity, describing the gesture as deeply personal, noting that playgrounds and libraries shaped her own childhood.


It has been a tradition widely known by everyone since she became rich and popular in the movie industry, to always celebrate her birthday with children.


Reflecting on her tradition of celebrating with children, Nancy Isime explained that playgrounds and libraries hold a special place in her heart. 


"As a child, reading and playing were my absolute favourite things to do, and you’d definitely find me in the play area, swinging and sliding my young stress away," she said with excitement.


She wrote on her Instagram that commissioning libraries or play areas for children yearly, are usually the highlights of her birthdays for her.


Emphasizing on the importance of physical activity for children, she stated;

"I truly believe that it’s essential for children to have less screen time and more time outside, playing and creating".


After officially opening the area "in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost," the actress was even seen joining the children on the dance floor.
