 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school.  Nancy Isime Commissions Playground for Ikorodu Pupils to Mark Her 34th Birthday

 


Nollywood actress Nancy Isime marked her 34th birthday by commissioning a new playground for the pupils of Methodist Primary School, Ikorodu. 


As part of the celebration, she hosted an end-of-year party for the students and staff, highlighting her passion for children’s development, outdoor play, and creativity, describing the gesture as deeply personal, noting that playgrounds and libraries shaped her own childhood.


It has been a tradition widely known by everyone since she became rich and popular in the movie industry, to always celebrate her birthday with children.


Reflecting on her tradition of celebrating with children, Nancy Isime explained that playgrounds and libraries hold a special place in her heart. 


"As a child, reading and playing were my absolute favourite things to do, and you’d definitely find me in the play area, swinging and sliding my young stress away," she said with excitement.


She wrote on her Instagram that commissioning libraries or play areas for children yearly, are usually the highlights of her birthdays for her.


Emphasizing on the importance of physical activity for children, she stated;

"I truly believe that it’s essential for children to have less screen time and more time outside, playing and creating".


After officially opening the area "in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost," the actress was even seen joining the children on the dance floor.
