 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. Pittsburgh bakers make 83,427 cookies in world record attempt

A Pittsburgh-area Facebook community coordinated a world record attempt that resulted in the baking of 83,427 cookies for a massive cookie exchange.

The event, organized by The Wedding Cookie Table Community Facebook page, brought together 583 bakers working in 67 teams from 14 U.S. states and New Zealand. At the Washington County Fairgrounds, the teams displayed all 83,427 cookies, ultimately exchanging 73,835 of them.

The cookies were Christmas-themed, featuring designs like snowballs, Santa Claus, and reindeer. The creator of the community described the event as a festive and fun celebration of the holiday season. Evidence from the attempt will be submitted to Guinness World Records in hopes of establishing a new category for the largest Christmas cookie exchange.
