 LAGOS HEALTH DISTRICT IV ORGANISED CHILD RIGHTS, PROTECTION SENSITISATION PROGRAMME … Urges Parents To Protect Wards From Abuse  Parents have been urged to pay closer attention to their children and take serious note of changes in their behaviour that may indicate abuse or emotional distress. The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District IV, Dr. Abimbola Bowale, gave the advice at a child rights and protection sensitisation programme the district organised for secondary school students in Surulere. The programme, held at New Era Senior Secondary School, Surulere, brought together pupils from different secondary schools and was facilitated by resource persons from the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development and the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF). SECOND SUSPECT ARRESTED IN TOLWE FARM MURDER AND ROBBERY CASE. (PHOTO).

 Second Suspect Arrested in Tolwe Farm Murder and Robbery Case


• A 30-year-old suspect was arrested in the early hours of Thursday, 04 December 2025 at Shongoane 01, Lephalale.


• The arrest is linked to the murder and robbery incident that occurred at a farm in Tolwe policing area.

 

• This comes days after the first suspect was arrested on Tuesday, 02 December 2025.


• The arrests followed a coordinated operation by the Provincial Murder and Robbery Unit, Tolwe and Mokopane Detectives, Bosbeld Misdaad Ondersoeke, and Bosveld Plaasbeveiliging Security Companies.


• During the incident, 77-year-old Mr. Attie Mahne was found tied up and unconscious in his farmhouse and was declared dead at the scene by EMS.


• Police recovered a firearm believed to be stolen.


• The second suspect will appear before Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 05 December 2025.


• The first suspect, Hendrick Chimule, appeared at Tolwe periodical court and his case was postponed to 29 January 2026; he remains in custody.


• Police investigations are ongoing.
