 New UK Prime Minister not the leader Britain needs — Kemi Badenoch UK Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has congratulated Andy Burnham on becoming Britain’s new prime minister but said while he is “a nice man,” the country needs a leader capable of making difficult decisions rather than “a people pleaser.” In a statement released on Monday on X following Burnham’s assumption of office, Badenoch wished the new prime minister success but vowed to hold his government accountable as Leader of the Opposition. “Today, Britain has a new Prime Minister. I wish Andy Burnham every success. Because we need a Prime Minister and a Government focused on fixing the public’s priorities,” she said.  Security guard arrested in connection with murder of retired female judgein Delta


Operatives of homicide section of State CID, Delta State Police command have arrested one Godwin Mngumi, 25, the security guard who allegedly murdered Justice Ifeoma Okogwu (Rtd)  in Anambra State.


Confirming this development to newsmen, the spokesperson of the command, SP Edafe Bright, said the phone of the late RTD justice has also been recovered from the security guard.


“He confessed that he invited his friend one Nnaji Obalum and one other suspect at large  over to the house where they carried out the dastardly act together. Nnaji Obalum has also been arrested while the manhunt for the third suspect is ongoing.”Edafe said


Justice Okogwu, an Asaba-born former judicial officer, was found d3ad late Sunday night, November 23, 2025 at her home in Asaba. Her k!llers bound her legs, hands, and ransacked the entire house during the horrific incident.
