 Concerned Ex-College Of Education Gidan Waya Student Decries 30 Years Of Access Road Neglect, Calls For Government Intervention A former student leader of the Kaduna State College of Education (KSCOE) Gidan Waya, Comrade Ishaya Ezra, has raised a passionate alarm over the deplorable condition of the institution’s access road, describing the 30-year neglect as unacceptable and dangerous. Ezra, who currently serves as the Executive CMC Chairman of NANCES Kaduna State Axis and Secretary General of the NYMEF Kaduna State Chapter, issued a strongly worded statement on Tuesday urging the Kaduna State Government to take immediate action.  SENATE PRESIDENT AKPABIO, LAWMAKERS LAUGH AS HE ANNOUNCES SENATOR NATASHA’S BIRTHDAY


There was mild drama at the Senate plenary as Senate President Godswill Akpabio and several lawmakers burst into laughter while he announced the birthday of his colleague, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.


The incident occurred during Tuesday’s session when Senator Akpabio formally notified the chamber that December 9 marked his birthday as well as that of Senator Natasha. In line with the Senate tradition, the President of the Senate is required to announce lawmakers’ birthdays so colleagues can offer congratulatory messages.


However, the atmosphere changed the moment he mentioned Senator Natasha’s name. Akpabio and several senators erupted in laughter, drawing the attention of observers given the well-known political tension between both lawmakers.


Senator Akpabio and Senator Natasha have been at loggerheads for months over political and legal disputes, with matters currently before the court. The unexpected laughter, therefore, added a dramatic twist to an otherwise formal announcement.


Despite the tension, the Senate proceeded with its routine acknowledgment of the birthdays, though the brief moment of amusement underscored the strained relationship between the two senators.
