 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom.  SHETTIMA, ALIA, DIGNITARIES GRACE AKUME'S SON'S WEDDING IN BENUE

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, on Sunday hosted a grand wedding ceremony for his son, Samuel Aondoakura, in Benue State, drawing top political figures from across the country.


The high-profile event came just days after Akume welcomed his new wife, Zaynab Ngohemba, into his family home.


Vice President Kashim Shettima attended the ceremony as the representative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, underscoring the importance of the occasion.


The Vice President’s presence was confirmed in a statement issued via X by his spokesman and Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Mr Stanley Nkwocha.


“Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has arrived in Benue State to grace the wedding reception of the son of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume,” Nkwocha said.

He explained that the wedding joined Samuel Aondoakura Akume and Deborah Ershima, daughter of Engineer Msula Atoga, in holy matrimony.


According to Nkwocha, the Vice President was received by Senator Akume and the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, alongside other prominent dignitaries.


The ceremony attracted a large gathering of political leaders, traditional rulers and well-wishers, turning the wedding into a major social and political event in the state.
