 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. Shock as 14-year-old boy allegedly takes the life of woman who raised him after she revealed she wasn’t his biological mother


A disturbing incident has left residents of Iju Ishaga in shock after a 14-year-old boy, identified as Emma Chris Okogbe, reportedly confessed to taking the life of the woman who raised him from infancy.


During questioning, the teenager explained that he recently returned from school in Delta State when a friend claimed the woman who raised him was not his real mother. The woman—who had trained him since he was a year old—reportedly confronted the boy spreading the rumour, who offered no concrete answers about his claims.


According to the boy, he later asked his guardian again, and she eventually confirmed she wasn’t his biological mother and told him he could look for his real parents when he was ready.


Investigators say the boy grew upset over the revelation, days later, he pushed her off the stairs and she was later confirmed dead and taken to the mortuary.


Despite raising him, sponsoring his education, and caring for him for years, the teenager admitted he acted out of anger over the discovery.


When asked what he expects from the government, he said he “doesn’t know” with no remorse on his face.
