 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  Shock as Popular Radio DJ Warras Shot Dead in Johannesburg CBD


Shock and disbelief have gripped many following reports that popular radio broadcaster and programme host DJ Warras was shot and killed in the Johannesburg CBD earlier today.


 The news of his alleged death was first shared by Durban-based radio station Gagasi FM, where he previously worked. His passing was also confirmed by his friend, Rob Hersov, who shared the information publicly.


 DJ Warras was widely respected in the radio industry and known for his influence and contribution to broadcasting. Details surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage.


 Police have not yet released an official statement regarding the shooting. Authorities are expected to investigate the matter further to establish the full circumstances of the incident

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
