 El-Rufai’s Eye Condition Worsening In ICPC Custody, Aide Alleges The media aide to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Muyiwa Adekeye, has expressed concern over what he described as the worsening eye condition of his principal while in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). Adekeye also accused the anti-corruption agency of failing to provide El-Rufai with adequate medical care despite repeated complaints about his health. In a statement issued on Friday, Adekeye said the former governor had reported symptoms including swollen, red, and itchy eyes while in detention and had requested medical attention. According to him, family members who visited El-Rufai noticed the condition and alerted ICPC officials, urging them to allow him access to medical treatment.  Son Arrested for Raping his Own Mother


 Watervaal police arrested a 28-year-old man for raping, kidnapping and intimidating his mother at Magangeni village in Watervaal.


 According to the preliminary reports, the suspect came home and started demanding money from his mother on Saturday, 13 December 2025 and she responded that she had no cash.


 The suspect apparently became aggressive and the mother has medical condition. The suspect allegedly insulted, attacked and suddenly raped her.


 The victim tried to resist, but she was overpowered. After the alleged rape ordeal, he locked the victim inside the house and left.


 The victim managed to get assistance from members of the community who unlocked the house and freed her. She then informed the police about the incident and a rape case was registered at Watervaal SAPS.


 The suspect was arrested in the early hours of Monday, 15 December 2025. He will appear before Watervaal Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, for rape, intimidation, and kidnapping.
