 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. Suspect in Tekashi 6ix9ine home invasion taken into custody

A 19-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the home invasion of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, authorities confirmed. Pedro Rodriguez faces multiple charges, including armed home invasion robbery with a firearm, false imprisonment, grand theft, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say Rodriguez is believed to be one of several individuals involved, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Last month, four gunmen broke into Tekashi’s Florida residence, with video footage showing the intruders entering through the garage and holding the rapper’s mother at gunpoint. The clip captures one suspect guarding Tekashi’s mother as others ransacked the home in search of cash and car keys before fleeing in a getaway vehicle prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
