Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine will have a structured plan in place following his three-month prison sentence next year, as a judge has ordered him to complete 12 months of supervised release with specific conditions. Court documents detail that his release will include participation in a mental health program focused on anger management, as well as an outpatient drug treatment program.
6ix9ine, whose prison term is set to begin January 6, has said he isn’t worried about serving time, noting that he plans to use the period to focus on his fitness. The “Gooba” artist expects to be kept separate from the general prison population due to his prior cooperation with authorities. Currently weighing 190 pounds, he has stated his goal is to drop to 120 pounds, surviving on just a box of Oreo cookies per day.
The rapper has been on probation since his release in 2020 after a high-profile racketeering case involving the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, during which he testified against the gang. Earlier this year, federal authorities raided his property and recovered drugs, which contributed to his most recent legal troubles.
