 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. TENSION IN GBOKO AS YOUTHS APPREHEND MAN OVER SAME-SEX ALLEGATION

A man was on Tuesday apprehended by a group of youths in Gboko, Benue State, over allegations of engaging in a same-sex relationship.


According to a video circulating on social media, the man was accused of travelling from Lagos to Gboko to visit another male companion. The youths who intercepted him questioned the purpose of the visit and alleged that the meeting suggested a same-sex encounter.


The incident has generated conversations across the community, with some residents expressing concern over rising cases of moral disputes and others warning against mob actions and public shaming.


Security observers have advised that matters of this nature be reported to the police for proper investigation instead of being handled by youths or vigilante groups.


As of the time of filing this report, the Benue State Police Command has not issued an official statement on the incident.
