 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  The traditional ruler of Enugwu-Ukwu, Igwe Ralph Ekpeh, has urged the Umunri people to come together as one to reclaim their rightful position in national affairs.


Speaking at the 2025 Umunri Colloquium at the Civic Centre in Enugwu-Ukwu, Igwe Ekpeh emphasized the need for a united Umunri group to drive development and social cohesion, while highlighting the importance of culture in development and citing celebrations such as Igu Aro and Iwa Ji as means of projecting their culture globally.


Igwe Ekpeh also appealed to Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba to turn his paper presentation into a book for research purposes.


Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba, the guest speaker, presented a paper titled “Cultural Diplomacy and Community Development,” using Enugwu-Ukwu and Umunri as case studies, and advocated cultural promotion, economic empowerment of youths and women, and the proper packaging of culture for global appeal.
