 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  TRAGEDY ON ABINSI ROAD, 18 SEATER BUS DRIVER DIES IN A FATAL CRASH, POLICE LAUNCH IDENTIFICATION SEARCH


16th December, 2025 


A fatal road accident has claimed the life of a Toyota 18-seater bus driver along the Wannune–Makurdi road. The crash occurred at Abinsi, where the driver reportedly died on the spot.


The vehicle involved bears registration number XE 481 MKD. Authorities say the deceased had no means of identification at the time of the incident, making it difficult to notify his family.


The police are appealing to members of the public with any useful information to assist in identifying the victim. Anyone with details is urged to contact the Officer-in-Charge, Abinsi Police Outstation, on 08038689030, or visit the police station in Abinsi.


Police say timely information could help reunite the deceased with his family and ensure proper arrangements are made.
