 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.  TRAGEDY STRIKES ON IKOGEN-ADIKPO ROAD AS ACCIDENT CLAIMS ONE LIFE 



A fatal road accident has claimed the life of a young man along the Koti Apra axis in Benue State.


Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred while the victims were returning from Ikogen Market to Adikpo. One of the occupants reportedly died on the spot, while others sustained varying degrees of injuries.


Residents who witnessed the incident described it as sudden and devastating, drawing sympathies from passersby and the local community.


The police have taken custody of the deceased and urged members of the public who may recognise him or have information about his identity to report at the Adikpo Police Station for necessary identification and documentation.


Authorities also appealed to road users to exercise caution, especially along busy market routes.
