 South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund. The company later went public, and police suspect a separate arrangement may have resulted in Bang receiving a substantial payout tied to post-IPO stock profits.  Uche Ekwunife Pays Tribute to Late Senator Annie Okonkwo at 2nd Memorial Service in Ojoto


Senator Uche Ekwunife has paid glowing tribute to the late Senator Annie Clement Okonkwo (Agunechemba Ojoto) during his 2nd Memorial Service, held on Sunday, 28 December 2025, at the Senator Annie Okonkwo Agunechemba Compound in Ojoto.


Senator Ekwunife joined Lolo Mrs Chinyere Okonkwo (Wife), Prince Donatus Okonkwo, younger brother of the late senator; Hon. Harris Uchenna Okonkwo, son of the late senator and Member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency; members of the Okonkwo family, the clergy; and the Ojoto community to honour the life and enduring legacy of the former lawmaker


Speaking at the memorial service, Senator Ekwunife described the late Senator Okonkwo as an influential leader whose business acumen and political career made significant contributions to leadership development, economic empowerment, and the advancement of progressive politics in Anambra State and Nigeria at large.


She noted that the late senator was a bridge-builder who leveraged his wealth, influence, and public office to uplift his people, adding that his name remains synonymous with courage, generosity, and selfless service.


The memorial service drew captains of industry, political leaders, traditional rulers, community stakeholders, clergy, and well-wishers, all gathered to reflect on the life, achievements, and lasting impact of Senator Annie Okonkwo, whose legacy continues to resonate across Ojoto, Anambra State, and beyond.
