 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

 Hlanganani Police Open Inquest After Discovery of Man’s Body in Rotterdam Village


Police in Hlanganani have opened an inquest following the discovery of the body of a 45-year-old man at Rotterdam Village on Friday, 26 December 2025.


The deceased has been identified by his family as Peter Themba Baloyi. He is the father of a 15-year-old girl whose body was discovered a yesterday inside a one-room house at the same village.


The teenager had been reported missing on Monday, 22 December 2025, after she allegedly left home with her father. A public appeal was later issued requesting assistance from the community to help trace their whereabouts.


On Thursday morning, 25 December 2025, police responded to a report regarding the discovery of a body at the father’s residence. Upon arrival, a family member pointed out the body of the young girl inside the house. A murder case was subsequently opened for investigation.


Later that day, police were alerted to an incident in which the father’s house was found damaged by fire. Investigations into the incident are currently underway.


On Friday afternoon, following further investigations, police located the body of the 45-year-old man in nearby bushes. An inquest docket has been opened to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.


Police investigations into both matters continue.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
