WHAT GOV. ADELEKE SAID ABOUT HIS DANCING ON LIVE TV LEAVES VIEWERS TALKING. (PHOTO).

What Gov. Adeleke said about his dancing on live TV leaves viewers talking

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has made it clear that he has no plans to stop dancing, even as he continues his work as governor.

He said dancing is part of who he is and it helps him stay happy and relaxed.

Adeleke spoke on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today. The programme was monitored by PM News.

In the interview, he explained that people should not mistake his love for dancing as a sign that he is not serious about governance.

According to him, “I will keep dancing because I love to dance and I love to praise my God. Dancing is my way of relaxing. It does not affect my work in any way.”

He added that everyone has their own way of unwinding, and dancing just happens to be his own hobby. He noted that despite people calling him the “dancing senator” when he was in the Senate, he has always performed his duties responsibly.

Adeleke has been in the news recently for political reasons. On Tuesday evening, he resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the party under which he became governor. He then joined the Accord Party ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election.

The Accord Party confirmed his acceptance by giving him the party’s governorship ticket on Wednesday during its primary election held in Osogbo. Party officials praised him for his leadership qualities and expressed confidence that he would lead them to victory in the coming election.

Supporters have reacted with excitement to his move, while some PDP members expressed disappointment. Adeleke, however, said he made the decision to follow his beliefs and what he feels is best for the people of Osun State.

He also assured residents that his focus remains on delivering good governance, improving infrastructure, promoting education, and growing the economy of the state dancing or not.
