 2027: INEC pledges credible elections in Zamfara


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Zamfara has reaffirmed its commitment to credible, transparent and fair elections ahead of the 2027 general polls.


Resident Electoral Commissioner Dr Mahmud Isah gave the assurance at a stakeholders’ meeting on the resumption of the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), urging political parties, security agencies and citizens to support the process.


INEC said online CVR remains ongoing, while physical registration at INEC offices began January 5, 2026.
