 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. 70-Year-Old Widow Allegedly Raped In Kafanchan, Suspect Remanded


A Kaduna State High Court in Kafanchan has ordered the remand of a farmer, Timothy Ayock, in a correctional facility for allegedly raping a 70-year-old widow.


Ayock faces two charges of rape and criminal force, in violation of sections 257 and 237 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law, 2017. 


According to the state counsel, Daniel Isah, the alleged incident occurred on December 26, 2025, in Tagama community, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.


The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges. During proceedings, the prosecutor requested an adjournment to prepare the case. 


Presiding Judge Michael Eugene remanded Ayock at the Kafanchan Correctional Centre and adjourned the case until March 5, 2026, for hearing.
