 Gov Uba Sani Announces Plan For Nigeria’s largest Inter-state Bus Terminal In Kaduna Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has unveiled plans to construct what he described as the largest inter-state bus terminal in Nigeria, both in scale and supporting infrastructure. The governor made the announcement on Sunday during the groundbreaking ceremony for the project, which will be located on a 20-hectare site along the Eastern Bypass in Chikun Local Government Area of the state. According to him, the ultra-modern facility will operate as a dual terminal capable of accommodating over 5,000 vehicles. It will be equipped with intelligent traffic management systems, advanced surveillance infrastructure, escalators and elevators to ensure easy access for all users, including the elderly and persons with disabilities. ANAMBRA EDUCATION COMMISSIONER COMMENDS COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP WITH FIDELITY BANK AS ₦23M PROJECTS WAS COMMISSIONED AT CSS ENUGWUABOR, UFUMA. (PHOTOS).


 Anambra Education Commissioner Commends Community Partnership with Fidelity bank as ₦23m Projects was Commissioned at CSS Enugwuabor, Ufuma


The Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, has lauded the Enugwuabor community for its strong collaboration with government and private partners following the commissioning of major infrastructure projects at Community Secondary School (CSS), Enugwuabor, Ufuma in Orumba North Local Government Area.


The projects include a ₦23 million renovation of the school’s administrative block funded by Fidelity Bank Plc, as well as a newly constructed Physics, chemistry and biology laboratories and two classroom blocks provided by the Enugwuabor Oganiru Union, made up of members at home and in the diaspora.


Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Chuma-Udeh expressed satisfaction with the transformation of the school, recalling her visit in 2003 when its dilapidated condition led to its classification as a state of emergency. She described the current upgrades as a remarkable turnaround.


She also commended the school principal, Mrs. Nkoli Okamba, for effective leadership, noting that student enrolment had increased from about 100 at the start of her tenure to over 450.


The commissioner said the project exemplified Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) model, applauding the combined efforts of the community, Fidelity Bank and the school’s alumni.


She stressed that the responsibility for maintaining public schools should not rest solely with government, urging host communities to take ownership of educational facilities to ensure sustainability and long-term benefits to Ndi Anambra.


In his remarks, the President-General of Enugwuabor Community, Mr. Willie Okafor, praised Governor Soludo’s commitment to education, linking it to Anambra students’ consistent strong performance in WAEC, NECO and JAMB examinations. He said the community’s intervention was in honour of the vision of the school’s founders and expressed hope for sustained collaboration with government and philanthropists.


He also appealed for additional government support, including science equipment, more teachers, corps members’ lodge, perimeter fencing, desks and internet connectivity.


Giving his speech, Fidelity Bank’s Regional Branch Manager, Dr. Nosa Ommwense, said the bank’s investment in education forms a core part of its corporate social responsibility, aimed at empowering students and teachers as catalysts for societal development.


Highlights of the event included the cutting of tapes signalling the official handover of the projects to the school and a cash award to the head girl by the Commissioner for her dexterity in delivering the welcome address


Dignitaries present included the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Dr. Ifeoma Agbaizu, and a member of the Post Primary Schools Service Commission Board, Dr. Bibiana Okoli, who represented the Orumba-Aguata education zone.
