 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms.  ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTS OVER A MISSING 16-YEAR OLD GIRL IN OZUBULU


Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to Ozubulu Division, acting on a technologically driven information on the evening of 26th January 2026 arrested two female suspects, Uzoma Nwabueze and Precious Monday, over a reported case of a missing 16-year old girl, Miss Oluebube Chukwuma in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the State.


During interrogation, the suspects confessed to being involved in the disappearance of the minor and disclosed that the victim is currently in Ghana.


Given the above, the Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD directs immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Awka, for discreet and comprehensive investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the relocation of the girl and identify any other person(s) involved.
