 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration.  Avatar: Fire and Ash leads North American box office for fifth consecutive weekend


Avatar: Fire and Ash has maintained its grip on the North American box office, claiming the top spot for a fifth consecutive weekend with $13.3 million in ticket sales from Friday through Sunday.

Following in second place is 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which brought in $13 million, while Zootopia 2 took third with $8.8 million. The Housemaid earned $8.5 million for fourth place, and Marty Supreme rounds out the top five with $5.5 million.

Other notable performers include Primate at sixth with $5 million, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring at seventh with $3.5 million, Greenland 2 at eighth with $3.4 million, Anaconda at ninth with $3.2 million, and The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants in tenth with $2.3 million.
