 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision.  Awka South Mayor pleads with Awka indigenes in Diaspora to Support and collaborate with governor Soludo in promoting Anambra state.


The Mayor of Awka South Local Government Area, Prince Chinedu Okafor, has called on Awka indigenes in the diaspora to collaborate with the Anambra State Government in promoting inclusive growth and sustainable development, particularly within Awka communities.


Prince Okafor made the appeal during the handover ceremony of 50 hospital beds donated by the Awka Union in Houston, Texas, to the Chukwuma Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOU), Amaku. He described the donation as timely and impactful, noting that it reflects the union’s strong commitment to community wellbeing and improved healthcare delivery.


The Mayor emphasized the importance of collective responsibility and strategic collaboration, stressing that diaspora-led initiatives play a critical role in complementing government efforts to strengthen key public institutions.


Reaffirming his commitment to people-centered governance, Prince Okafor restated the determination of the Awka South Local Government to deepen the Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) framework as a key driver of sustainable development and long-term prosperity in the area.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
