 Algeria arrests 61 Moroccans over alleged sabotage plot Algerian authorities announced they have arrested 61 Moroccan nationals earlier this month on suspicion of planning "acts of sabotage". In a statement carried by public media on Sunday, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) referred to "an international Moroccan criminal network" but did not provide details of the alleged plots. The 61 people, including a former soldier in the Moroccan army, "were preparing to commit acts of sabotage undermining security and public order", the DGSN said, AFP reported. It added that the suspects had entered Algeria via mountain trails from neighbouring Tunisia. Diplomatic strains Relations between Algeria and Morocco have been strained for years, and their shared land border has been closed since 1994. In 2021, Algiers decided to sever diplomatic relations.  Been putting fake smile for almost a year - Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface speaks out as he’s ruled out of the season over knee injury


Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has spoken out after his club Werder Bremen ruled him out for the remainder of the season following knee surgery.


Earlier today, Werder confirmed that the Nigerian forward will undergo surgery after consulting a specialist in Austria, sidelining him for the rest of the campaign.


Following a successful procedure, Boniface shared a message on his official X account, reflecting on his struggle with the injury.


He wrote: “Been putting a fake smile for almost a year, but God knows why all this is happening. Grateful to God.”.
