 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area.  DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ALLEGATION ROCKS SOCIAL MEDIA IN BENUE AS MAN FINGERED IN LOVER'S ASSAULT

A wave of public concern has followed a social media post alleging domestic violence against a man identified as Mr. Suega Adega.


The allegation, brought to light by social commentator D’naked Elder Sughnen Yaaya, claims that Mr. Adega physically assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic altercation. The woman, who reportedly described him as her “lovely boyfriend and husband-to-be,” was said to have reported the incident to the police.


According to the post, the victim reached out for help after the alleged assault. However, efforts to contact Mr. Adega were unsuccessful, as several phone calls reportedly went unanswered.


Reacting to the development, the commentator stated that he has maintained a policy of staying out of romantic disputes since 2021, stressing that such matters should be handled strictly by law enforcement agencies, especially as a formal complaint had already been filed.


As of press time, Mr. Adega had not responded to the allegation, while the police were yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
