 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  FCTA STAFF BEGIN INDEFINITE STRIKE


Activities at the the Secretariats of the Federal Capital Territory Administration and the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA have been grounded following the strike embarked upon by  the Joint Union Action Committee over demands for improved working conditions.


As early as Monday morning, the main gates of the secretariats of the Federal Capital Territory Administration and the Federal Capital Development Authority  were under lock, preventing staff and visitors from gaining access to the complex for their daily routines. 


Many workers remained at home in strict compliance with the industrial action in order to press home their demands, for a better working condition in the FCTA.


The JUAC Chairperson urges members to maintain the status quo until further directives. 


Long queues of vehicles were seen parked on the road shoulders which are indications of no retreat no surrender by the leadership of the JUAC.
