 LAGOS OEQA PRESENTS APPROVAL LETTERS TO 76 PRIVATE SCHOOLS … As Commissioner Charges School Owners to Remain Law-Abiding The Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) has presented approval letters to 76 private schools that met the State Government’s guidelines for the establishment and operation of private educational institutions. The presentation ceremony, which marked Batch 1 of the 2026 approval exercise, was held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Education Resource Centre, Ojodu. Presenting the approval letters to the beneficiaries, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, charged the newly approved school owners to remain law-abiding and strictly adhere to all laws, rules, and directives guiding school operations in Lagos State.  Fire Outbreak: Borno IDPs record losses in Yobe Community. 


One Hospitalised as Fire Outbreak Razes Over 76 IDP Shelters 


A fire outbreak has razed over 76 temporary shelters belonging to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Ngamma village, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, Northeast Nigeria.


The affected IDPs are mainly migrants from Borno State who have been taking refuge in the community.


Following directives from Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni,the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) promptly visited the scene of the incident , where it conducted a comprehensive assessment of the damages.


Preliminary findings revealed that one person was hospitalised, while one household was completely burnt. 


The fire also destroyed livestock and numerous bags of foodstuffs, further compounding the suffering of the already vulnerable families.


Eyewitnesses and victims recounted their losses amid tears, appealing for urgent humanitarian assistance and support.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
