 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.   FIRE OUTBREAK DESTROYS SHOPS IN KEFFI MARKET AREA


1st January, 2026   


A fire outbreak on Thursday razed several shops in the Keffi Market area, near the Old Tasha roundabout, causing significant damage to goods and property.


Eyewitnesses said the blaze broke out suddenly and spread rapidly, overwhelming shop owners before emergency responders and residents mobilised to contain the fire.


The cause of the incident had not been confirmed as of the time of filing this report. No casualties have been officially recorded, though affected traders are assessing the scale of their losses.


Authorities have urged residents and traders to remain calm while investigations continue. People have also called for prayers and support for victims, expressing optimism that relief efforts will reach those affected.
