 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. Congratulations pour in as Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele's 'Behind the scenes' movie crosses two billion naira(2b) at the box office, the first Nollywood movie to ever reach such height.


Funke Akindele took to her X account to announce this in a celebratory video with some of the casts of the movie. 


"Our hearts are full of gratitude to God and to you, our amazing fans who have become family. Thank you for believing in this journey. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without you.


"BehindTheScenes is showing nationwide, in the UK & Ireland at select Odeon cinemas, in the USA at Regal Cinemas, and in Canada from January 16 at Landmark Cinemas", she captioned the video.


The BehindTheScenes movie features A-list actors like Scarlet Gomez, Funke Akindele, Iyabo Ojo, Destiny Etiko, Tobi Bakre, Uche Montana, Uzor Arukwe, Ini Dima-Okojie, Adebowale ‘Mr Macaroni’, Ibrahim Chatta and Kamo State, alongside several other established and emerging actors.
