During Monday’s episode of the Today show, Rebecca, 60, revealed that she has been living with Parkinson’s since receiving her diagnosis in 2015, though the first warning signs appeared years earlier. Looking back, she said it all began around 2012 with a slight numbness in her left foot. Not long after, her trainer noticed something unusual in the way she walked, particularly that one of her arms was no longer swinging naturally. Then came the moment that truly raised alarm.  "I received the sad news of the passing of the Aholu of Badagry and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs, Aholu Babatunde Akran, Wheno Aholu Menu-Toyi I, who joined his ancestors at the age of 89.


For nearly 49 years on the throne, he served with wisdom, humility, and deep commitment to his people. He was a former journalist who brought clarity and balance into his leadership as a traditional ruler, always working to preserve Badagry’s culture while also encouraging development.


He united his people, promoted Badagry’s history and festivals, and gave his time selflessly to the growth of his community.


I extend my heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the people of Badagry, and all who were close to him. I pray that God grants them the strength to bear this great loss, and that the soul of Aholu Babatunde Akran rests in perfect peace".

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
