 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings.  GUNMEN ATTACK BENUE LINKS BUS ON MAKURDI-OTUKPO ROAD, 3 HOSPITALISED 


10th January, 2026     


A Benue Links Nigeria Limited bus travelling from Makurdi to Otukpo came under gun attack by suspected armed robbers/kidnappers today evening, leaving three passengers seriously injured.


The affected passengers are currently receiving emergency treatment at the Teaching Hospital in Otukpo.


Members of the public with relatives or acquaintances who boarded the Benue Links bus on the Makurdi–Otukpo route are advised to urgently contact them or visit the hospital for information.


Security agencies have been alerted, while further details on the incident are awaited.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
