 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence.  Kajuru LG Chairman, Hon. Dauda Madaki Receives Over 500 Decampees Into APC 


The Executive Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area, Hon. Dauda Madaki, has formally received over 500 decampees into the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Kajuru Ward.


Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Alhaji Danasabe Salisu said the mass defection was a deliberate and well-considered decision, motivated by their confidence in the people-centered governance and tangible achievements of the Kaduna State administration under His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, CON. 


He emphasized that the reform-driven posture of the current administration, especially in governance delivery, inclusion, and development, provided strong justification for their alignment with the APC.


Hon. Dauda Madaki warmly welcomed the new members into what he described as the progressive family, assuring them of equal rights, full privileges, and fair participation within the party structure. 


He praised their political foresight, describing the defection as timely, strategic, and a reflection of growing public trust in progressive leadership at both the state and local levels.


Highlighting his administration’s commitment to social inclusion and welfare, Hon. Madaki announced a donation of ₦400,000 to youths, women, and the elderly present at the event.


The reception was attended by the Vice Chairman of Kajuru LGA, Hon. Muhammad Shuibu, members of the 3rd Kajuru Legislative Council, Alhaji Muktar, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Budget and Planning, as well as party executives and stakeholders.
