 El-Rufai to remain in custody as court adjourns bail application to April 14 Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of a Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the hearing of the bail application filed by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, to April 14th. The bail application of the former governor came up before the court today. April 1. The court adjourned the case after listening to arguments from both the defence and prosecution  El-Rufai was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on a 10-count charge bordering on alleged conversion of public property and money laundering. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The court ordered that he remain in ICPC custody pending the hearing of his bail application on the fixed date. The former governor arrived at the court premises around 9:00 a.m. in a black Hilux vehicle, accompanied by DSS officials.

KIANNA UNDERWOOD, FORMER NICKELODEON CHILD STAR, DEAD AT 33.(PHOTO).

Kianna Underwood, a former Nickelodeon child star known for her roles in "AI| That" and"Little Bill," died in a hit-and-run accident in Brooklyn at 33. 

The incident occurred on January 16, 2026, when Underwood was struck by a black Ford SUV while crossing the intersection of Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue , The driver failed to stop after the collision and continued driving for nearly a block with Underwood's body trapped underneath. Authorities have not made any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing . 

Underwood rose to fame as a child performer on Nickelodeon's popular sketch comedy series "All That," where she appeared alongside future Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson. She also voiced the character Fuschia Glover in the animated series "Little Bill"' and performed on stage in the musical"Hairspray The hit-and-run incident has sparked renewed attention to pedestrian safety in New York City, with many calling for stricter safety measures , Underwood's death is a tragic reminder of the importance of road safety and accountability in such incidents.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
