 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. KIANNA UNDERWOOD, FORMER NICKELODEON CHILD STAR, DEAD AT 33.(PHOTO).

Kianna Underwood, a former Nickelodeon child star known for her roles in "AI| That" and"Little Bill," died in a hit-and-run accident in Brooklyn at 33. 

The incident occurred on January 16, 2026, when Underwood was struck by a black Ford SUV while crossing the intersection of Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue , The driver failed to stop after the collision and continued driving for nearly a block with Underwood's body trapped underneath. Authorities have not made any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing . 

Underwood rose to fame as a child performer on Nickelodeon's popular sketch comedy series "All That," where she appeared alongside future Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson. She also voiced the character Fuschia Glover in the animated series "Little Bill"' and performed on stage in the musical"Hairspray The hit-and-run incident has sparked renewed attention to pedestrian safety in New York City, with many calling for stricter safety measures , Underwood's death is a tragic reminder of the importance of road safety and accountability in such incidents.
