 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. LAGOS FIRST BABY OF THE YEAR. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 In her usual tradition in expressing love, celebrating the joyous moments of a newborn which symbolizes new beginnings and putting smiles on the faces of first baby's of the year and their parents, the Chairman, Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Kabiru again has presented cash and gift items to the Year 2026 babies of the year, baby Kayode (female), baby Alabi (female) and baby Ogunbowale (male)today at the General Hospital, Ijede 


Mrs Kayode Olabisi mother of first baby delivered through Ceasearian section at exactly 12.29am, with birth weight of 3.9kg.


Other babies of the year, baby Alabi, and baby Ogunbowale were also delivered through Ceasearian section at exactly 2.42am, 4.17am weighing 3kg and 3.1kg respectively


In the same vein, Egbin Power PLC, the foremost power station in Nigeria as part of it's cooperate social responsibility also presented cash gift to baby Kayode, baby Alabi and baby Ogunbowale


The Deputy Medical Director, Dr. Babatope Oni with other management staff appreciated the Chairman and Egbin Power PLC for their warm and kind gesture towards putting smiles on people's faces and giving back to the society.
