The Janaza (Islamic funeral) prayers for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, both close associates of heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, will be held in London on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The two men, who died in a fatal road accident in Nigeria, have since had their remains returned to the United Kingdom ahead of the burial rites.
According to details released on Saturday, the prayer service will commence at 10am at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
The announcement was made in a statement shared by Boxing King Media, which expressed sympathy with those affected by the tragedy.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones,” the statement said.
Ghami and Ayodele lost their lives on Monday, December 29, 2025, following a road crash on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, in the Makun area of Ogun State. Anthony Joshua was also involved in the incident but reportedly sustained only minor injuries.
The accident occurred when a Lexus SUV, conveying Joshua and his team, collided with a parked truck along the highway. Ghami, Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, popularly known as “Latz” and serving as his personal trainer, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The funeral service in London is expected to bring together family members, friends and members of the global boxing community to honour the lives of the two men.
