So Linus Williams (Blord) has been released from Kuje prison after fulfilling his bail conditions, finally, freedom after a few weeks in custody. However, here’s the current position of his case:  He is still expected to show up and stand his trial.  If he fails to appear in court even for one day, his bail can be revoked and a bench warrant may be issued against him, meaning a return to Kuje. If the prosecution cannot prove the charges against him, he will be discharged and acquitted. If the prosecution proves the charges, he may be sentenced and sent back to Kuje. I think he should seek a peaceful resolution to the case. Congrats to him on his freedom for now.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy resigns, signaling new direction for Star Wars franchise

Kathleen Kennedy is stepping down as president of Lucasfilm, ushering in a major leadership shift for the Star Wars franchise. She will remain involved as a producer on several projects, including upcoming films and series such as The Mandalorian and content featuring Grogu. The company will now be led by a dual leadership team, with Dave Filoni taking over creative responsibilities as President and Chief Creative Officer, and Lynwen Brennan handling business operations as Co-President. The move marks a fresh chapter for Star Wars and a significant change for fans of the beloved sci-fi universe.

Kennedy became Lucasfilm’s president in 2012 after Disney acquired the company, following a successful producing career that included hits like E.T. and Jurassic Park. At the time, Star Wars had been largely dormant on the big screen since the end of the prequel trilogy in 2005, with The Clone Wars animated series serving as the main source of new content. Under Kennedy’s leadership, the franchise returned to theaters with The Force Awakens in 2015, followed by standalone films Rogue One and Solo, as well as highly popular live-action series and video games. Highlights of her tenure include the cultural phenomenon of Baby Yoda and the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, cementing Kennedy’s legacy as a driving force behind Star Wars’ resurgence in mainstream pop culture.

Dave Filoni’s elevation to creative lead is widely seen as a natural progression. He has long been regarded as George Lucas’ spiritual successor, with deep ties to the franchise through The Clone Wars, The Mandalorian, and Ahsoka. Filoni will oversee the artistic vision for Lucasfilm, while Brennan, who has worked at Lucas’ companies since joining Industrial Light & Magic in 1999, will manage the business side. This division of creative and commercial responsibilities aims to maintain the franchise’s strong financial performance while keeping storytelling and fan expectations a priority. With this new leadership team, Star Wars is poised to continue evolving under seasoned guidance.
