 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration.  Mr Ibu's ex-manager urges Enugu government to place the late actor's children on scholarship

 


Ex-manager of late Nollywood actor John Okafor(Mr Ibu), Mr. Dominic Nwuzor, has today, Monday 19th January 2026, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria Abuja, appealed to the Enugu State government to provide scholarships for the late actor’s children. 


Nwuzor reportedly managed late Jon Okafor for more than two decades before his passing in March 2024.


He urged the state government to consider the children of the late actor in its effort to bolster education through targeted scholarships across the state.


Nwuzor said;

"We have appealed for scholarship opportunities for the children, and will continue to do so, so that something can be done.


"His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah, is a leader with a large heart and does not take lightly the education of the people, especially the vulnerable ones.


"We hope he will consider offering scholarships to the offspring of the man who used his talent to make the state proud across Africa and beyond".
