 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Okowa, Sheriff, APC stakeholders holds 'high level' meeting in Asaba


Former Delta state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the current governor of the state, His Excellency Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, alongside other leaders and stakeholders of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, came together on Friday January 23 2026, for what Okowa described as a 'high-level meeting' at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Asaba.


Okowa took to his official X handle to announce this, giving some of his highlights from the gathering.


Okowa said that he commended stakeholders for the unity and sustained engagement within the party, while urging intensified grassroots mobilisation by taking the ongoing e-registration exercise directly to homes and communities.


He also stressed the importance and the need for our leaders to return to their constituencies with renewed commitment to strengthening the party at all levels.


Okowa also expressed his appreciation to the sitting Governor Oborevwori for his leadership and his role in fostering harmony across Delta state.
