 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Peter Obi joins Archbishop Jude T. Omooo, in the foundation laying stone of sacred heart primary and secondary School in Ozubulu, promises monthly subvention until it is completed.


Former Governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has reaffirmed his commitment to education with the laying of the foundation stone for the Sacred Heart Primary and Secondary School in Ozubulu.


Obi performed the ceremony alongside the Papal Nuncio to Nigeria, Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo, describing the event as deeply fulfilling and a strong reminder of the transformative power of education in society.


He announced his decision to support the school project through monthly financial subvention until its completion, noting that the gesture is aimed at ensuring the realization of the school’s vision, particularly for children who may lack access to quality education.


According to Obi, meaningful development is anchored on shared responsibility and sustained commitment.


 He added that the Sacred Heart School project represents hope, action, and a deliberate investment in the future through education, which he described as one of the most powerful tools for societal transformation.
