 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Peter Obi Visits Immaculata Girls’ Model Secondary School, Nnewi, donate ₦5 million to support the development of the school


Former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, returned to Immaculata Girls’ Model Secondary School in Nnewi to fulfill the promise he made during his visit in the last quarter of last year.


The former governor had assured them last year when he last visited that he would come back, and he  did so with a donation of ₦5 million to support the development of the school. 


It was a moment filled with joy and encouragement, serving as a reminder that promises, especially those made to our children and educational institutions, must always be honored.


He  urged the students, particularly the girls, to take their education seriously, as knowledge can open doors to opportunities they may not even imagine.According to Obi;


" Education is not only a pathway to personal success but also the most powerful tool for national development"


Peter Obi pledged his unflinching committed to supporting education at all levels because according to him, when we invest in learning, we invest in hope, progress, and a better future for our society.
